Where a mobile device is only used by one specific user, it is possible to bypass logon using the logon password. If you activate this option using the parameter MobileEngine.Security.BypassLocalLogonPassword, the request for the logon password is deactivated and a dependable authentication of the user for the operating system is required (logon of the user onto the operating system is then considered sufficient by SAP MI).
This option is not applicable to the Single Sign-On environment.
? The device is used in single user mode: MobileEngine.UM.SingleUserMode=true (see Parameters for Single Sign-On).
? The handling option for the synchronization password must not be set to local: MobileEngine.Security.SynchronizationPasswordHandlingOption=atSync or MobileEngine.Security.SynchronizationPasswordHandlingOption=once (see Parameters for Security and Authentication).
If the mobile application offers its own control element (pushbutton or link) to start synchronization, this application must support the synchronization password options atSync and once.
Add the following parameters to the file MobileEngine.config:
MobileEngine.Security.BypassLocalLogonPassword=true or MobileEngine.Security.BypassLocalLogonPassword=false.
To do this, use one of the methods described in Configuration of Mobile Devices.
When you activate this option, the user does not have to enter his or her local password when calling SAP MI.
