Checking the Database System with BR*Tools

Use

You can use BR*Tools for Oracle to check the database system.

Prerequisites

·        Make sure you have set the necessary BRCONNECT parameters in the initialization profile init<DBSID>.sap, because BRTOOLS uses these when it calls BRCONNECT.

·        The database must be open.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start BRGUI or BRTOOLS.

       2.      Choose Database check and verification ® Database system check.

       3.      Set the required options:

BRCONNECT command line (command)

This shows you the BRCONNECT -f check that is to be executed using the current settings.

       4.      To start processing with the selected options, choose Continue.

       5.      Check the results in the BRCONNECT logs.

Ў        The summary log conn<DBSID>.logdisplays the return code.

Ў        The detail log  c<encoded timestamp>.chk displays the progress.
