You configure all the programs, database instances and services necessary for the synchronization on the computers involved in the synchronization.


?     You have designed a data model.

?     You have installed the software for the Synchronization Manager on all computers. See Installation Manual, Installing the Synchronization Manager.

The Synchronization Manager software is located in the <independent_program_path>\app\syncman directory. This directory is referred to as <syncman> in the following.

Microsoft Windows: <syncman>=C:\Program Files\sdb\app\syncman

UNIX/Linux: <syncman>=/opt/sdb/programs/app/syncman

Process Flow

We recommend that you always specify computer names when carrying out the configuration. Do not use localhost or IP addresses. IP addresses (except may be assigned dynamically in the network.

After configuration, you can start the synchronization.
