Starting and Stopping Synchronization Services


Synchronization services perform the following tasks:

?     Logging all data changes in tables participating in the synchronization

?     Sending that data to the message server

?     Receiving data changes from other database instances involved in the synchronization


?     You have configured the synchronization services.

?     You have started the message server.

?     You are logged on to the computer with the database instance <database_name> that is to participate in the synchronization.

Starting the Synchronization Service

Enter the following command for every database instance that you want to participate in the synchronization:

<independent_program_path>\bin\syncservice start –d <database_name>


Stopping the Synchronization Service

Enter the following command:

<independent_program_path>\bin\syncservice stop –d <database_name>
