Local Master Data Alignment

Purpose

Using local master data alignment, you can uniquely identify master data that has been entered more than once in one or more systems. Comparison of the data is done manually. You have the facility to display master data based on your own criteria. For example you can display vendors that have the same D-U-N-S Number. You can then combine the displayed data in a group. Based on the grouping, you can see in SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) which master data can be considered as identical.

The unique identification is especially significant for cross-system evaluations such as Spend Analysis.
