Environment Variables

Use

In general, all environment variables are set when the development environment is initialized by the initDEV_MaxDB(.bat) script. You can also configure the environment variables manually. You can find information about changing environment variables in your operating system documentation.

In Microsoft Windows, the name of environment variables is enclosed in percentage signs (%env_variable%). In UNIX, the name of environment variables begins with a dollar sign ($env_variable). This documentation uses the UNIX notation for environment variables.
