SQL Mode

The MaxDB database system supports various SQL language variants (SQL modes)

When you open a database session, you can enter the required SQL mode. The default is INTERNAL.

The database system supports SQL modes other than INTERNAL only to a limited extent for Data Definition Language (DDL) statements.

If nothing else is entered, the documentation for the database system describes the functionality available in the INTERNAL SQL mode.
