BCSET

Use

BCSET ( <bcset> , <command interface> ).

BCSET ( <bcset> , <command interface> , <target system> ).

You can use the BCSET command to activate or test customizing settings. See Checking or Activating Customizing Settings. The command performs the action specified in the <command interface>with a Business Configuration Set <bcset> in the system under test.

Not only will the command be logged at the normal position in the log, an additional node at the top of the log will show if customizing changes have been made.

Check the existence of a BC Set in the target system. If the BC Set does not exist in the system, the script fails.

C

Compare a BC Set with the existing target system settings. If the customizing in the system differs from that in the BC Set, the script fails.

S

Simulate the activation of a BC Set in the target system. This allows you test the effect of activation without permanently activating the BC Set.

A

Activate a BC Set in the target system.

Some systems require change requests before BC Sets can be used. You can specify these in the command interface.

The activation modes 1 and 2 correspond to the modes Normal and Expert respectively in transaction SCPR20.

Values can be passed to BC Set variables through the command interface. They can also be parameterized. Although variables are displayed as a table, only the column VALUE of this table need be edited.

Results and &SUBRC

For the actions C, S, and A, success is marked with a green icon and failure with a red icon. For the action E, the BCSET is marked green in the log regardless of whether the BC Set exists.
