Access Privileges for Database-Related Resources

MS SQL Server relies on the access privileges as they are set up during installation and you do not need to make any changes to the installation. Therefore, to protect access to database-related resources (for example, files, directories and executable programs), you should restrict access to the Windows host. Define your Windows administrators as described in SAP System Security Under Windows. Disable any unnecessary Windows accounts (for example, Guest) and remove unnecessary users from critical groups (for example, Users, Power Users, and Administrators).
