Duplicate Check and Error-Tolerant Search

The duplicate check is used to avoid the same address being entered twice in address data. This prevents unnecessary (double) deliveries, for example, and, therefore, customer dissatisfaction and unnecessary costs.

It is also necessary to carry out the error-tolerant search since this search finds duplicates that have been entered differently to each other:

The street name "Oxford Street", which has been entered once in full as "Oxford Street" and once as the abbreviation "Oxford St.".

This search also facilitates work with addresses.

In connection with the reference data of the regional structure, the following functions are available, for example:

    • Incomplete street or city names that are known can be completed
    • Users can choose the required town from selection lists if city names (for example, Frankfurt) are not unique
