Compressing when Filling Transport Requests (Generic)

The language export function gives you the option of compressing the objects you want to transport, to reduce the amount of administration data. Instead of writing each program to a transport request, the language export function just writes a placeholder, LANG PROG *. The information about which programs are to be exported is saved in a database table in the export system, to save space. This information is not transported in the transport request.

No information on the imported objects exists in the import system.

The option Compress when Filling Transport Requests (Generic) is activated by default. Always keep this option activated for full exports to save memory in the database, particularly in the import system.
