Use

You can use this InfoCube in Human Resources (HR) for internal or external benchmarking.

You can define your own benchmarks and use them to compare key figures internally, or you can send benchmarks to an external benchmark provider. The benchmark provider analyzes your key figures in relation to other enterprises that are comparable in terms of region and sector, and returns the results to you. This comparison enables you to determine how effective your personnel management is and to plan activities for your personnel management area.

The SEM Benchmarks (0SEM_C01) InfoCube in Strategic Enterprise Management and the HR Benchmarks InfoCube supplement each other. The data processed by benchmark providers is transferred to the SEM InfoCube.

This InfoCube architecture has the following advantages:

·        You can use the frozen data in the HR InfoCube as a basis for comparing future key figure developments, which allows you to perform meaningful comparisons.

·        You can easily compare the frozen data with the data comparative to other enterprises sent back by the benchmark provider.

·        You can decide for yourself for which time and period you want to send data to the provider.

The queries you define form the basis of the key figure comparison. SAP delivers some queries as templates. By using queries, you can easily process key figures according to your requirements. Depending on the benchmark provider, who specifies particular key figure definitions, and on your own requirements, you can change the queries at any time and therefore flexibly adjust the key figure definitions.

The HR Benchmarks InfoCube is fed with data from the following HR InfoCubes:
