Financial Accounting Supervisor

Task Area

The financial accounting supervisor is in charge of the area of financial accounting. His or her task field consists of:

  • Designing and editing the standard chart of accounts
  • Performing monthly, quarterly and year-end closing tasks
  • Defining the valuation principles for the closing (receivables, foreign currency evaluations)
  • Estimating risks (that is creating reserves)
  • Assigning authorizations in the system
  • If necessary creating G/L account postings in the general ledger

The financial accounting supervisor also performs the function of a superior. That is to say, he or she controls cost center data, and is responsible for personnel administration within his or her area.
