Standard Interface Status

The global variable STATUS contains the current GUI status. Standard interface statuses almost all have the following structure:

  1. : maintenance dialog maintenance type. It can take the following values:

    – 'E': one-level maintenance dialog

    – 'Z': two-level maintenance dialog

  2. : maintenance dialog action mode. It can take the following values:

    – 'A': new entries

    – 'C': copy

    – 'S': display only

    – 'T': transport

    – 'U': change

  3. : current maintenance dialog screen. It can take the following values:

    – 'L': overview screen

    – 'D': detail screen

  4. : dataset display type. It can take the following values:

    – 'G': all

    – 'X': subset, e.g. all selected, all with same field contents, etc.

  5. : entry selection status. It can take the following values:

    – <space>: no selected entries

    – 'M': no selected entries

  6. :

'Display deleted'? It can take the following values:

  • <space>: not 'Display deleted’
  • 'D': 'Display deleted’

Exceptions

The following statuses are exceptions to the normal structure:

  • ERROR: input error in detail screen, the 'skip' function is active
  • ERRORLIS: input error in overview screen, the 'skip' function is not active
  • REPLACE: 'Change field contents' function error. this status is set for the error dialog.
