If faults occur when sending or receiving Internet messages via the SAP Internet Mail Gateway, you should run a trace for error analysis. The trace outputs are written in separate files for incoming and outgoing messages.
The trace outputs are always inserted at the end of the trace files. The files are never made smaller, deleted or archived automatically. This has to be done manually. We therefore recommend that you only set the trace temporarily for error analysis. Do not let it run permanently in productive environments.
